I’m Jess and I’m from Atlanta, GA.

Having always being passionate about film, I completed my bachelor’s degree in film production at Georgia State University. During my degree I had the chance to attend New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts for multiple semesters, where I was able to strengthen my curriculum and my film editing skills.

After graduation I worked in Motion Capture for over a year at NYU’s Movement Lab, where I worked on several New York Times articles, and learned the Motion Capture production pipeline.

I’ve always been passionate about the technical side of film, especially the post-production pipeline. After my experience in Motion Capture I wanted to learn more about the different disciplines within the VFX industry, so I decided to continue my studies at a graduate level. I earned my MFA in Visual Effects at Academy of Art University where I focused on the areas of Compositing, Effects, and Production.

I would like to pursue a career where I can apply both my skills in Compositing and Production. Whether adding new effects to films or animations, or creating particle effects for video-games to complement their visual design, I would be extremely excited to apply my skills in either industry.
